There's a girl I know,
with a heart as big as the sky,
its hard to believe she doesn't have wings,
that she's even human kind.
I'd swear she's a fighting angel,
Gabriel's got nothing on her,
fighting to help others,
no matter when or where.
Dear sweet, fighting angel,
sent to me in my time of need,
I can never thank you enough
for tending to my heart as it bleeds.
She'd face an army of devils,
if it meant protecting those she loves,
hell, she doesn't even have to know you
for her to give evil a shove.
Always open to what's different,
never misjudging or jumping to conclusions,
she'll listen to anyone that asks,
no matter their reality or delusions.
Even when herwings are broken,
and she feels like she have no fight left in her,
she still manages to find heaven's light
to restore her purpose, so pure.
Fight on, my dear angel,
you can beat all that evil throws your way,
no matter the battle,
you're always ready to face another day.

I look at all the lonely people,
And what do I see?
I see the loner sitting in the corner.
I see the stoner passed out on the floor.
I see the person contemplating suicide with a gun to his head.
I see the nice guy who was waiting for his friend through the cold harsh night.
Freezing himself to death on the bench cold and tired.
What I see are the people who need to be with somebody.
But aren't because they can't.
People don't want them.
People don't listen to them.
People use them.
I look at all the lonely people.
And I see you and me.

You can't find a way out of the grief
This cycle called depression
Your wrists are stained red
Your mind is stained black
Your heart is deteriating
Into the black hole of nothingness
That has formed inside of you
There is nothing that can cure it
There is nothing
That will ever be able to tear the pain out
Nothing will save you
Nothing will love you
Nothing will kill you
And end this eternal pain that you're going through
Nothing will save you

Before I fall asleep, I pray
To be blessed with an eternal slumber
Not to have to face another day
Stress feels like a crushing weight
Heavy heart struggles to beat
Air too dense for my lungs to endure
My legs give way, can't find my feet
Close my eyes and drift to sleep
Greeted by the sweetest of dreams
Gun barrels and small white pills
Scarlet oceans and steel that gleams
Such beautiful dreams must come to an end
I open my eyes and curse the night
Streaming through my window
The bitter warmth of morning light
